Redemption Christian Academy exists because two people refused to look away from the gaps, the missed opportunities, and the untapped potential they witnessed in communities around them. What began as a burden became a calling — and that calling became RCA.
Why We Exist
Redemption Christian Academy was not born out of convenience — it was born out of conviction. After witnessing firsthand the gaps, disappointments, and missed opportunities within the traditional education system, the founders of RCA could no longer ignore the need for change.
What began as personal frustration grew into a shared burden. We saw not only the struggles of students, but also the silent setbacks affecting families, communities, and generations. We watched potential go untapped. We saw brilliance overlooked. And we recognized that too many individuals had been left behind by a system that was never designed to meet every need.
"Instead of continuing to talk about the problem, we made a decision: we would become part of the solution."
— Dr. Felecia L. Fuller & Dr. Corey A. Young, FoundersRCA was created to restore what was lost, rebuild what was broken, and reimagine what education can truly be. Today, RCA stands as a fully accredited, faith-based adult education institution committed to one conviction above all others: every person deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential.
We are not outsiders looking in. We are individuals who journeyed through the educational system, rose through its ranks, and returned with the knowledge, authority, and passion to build something better — something built exclusively for adults who are ready to move forward.
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Jeremiah 29:11Leadership & Founders
A unique blend of academic achievement, spiritual authority, and real-world experience — brought together by a shared conviction that education can and should be transformative.
Dr. Felecia L. Fuller is the driving force behind Redemption Christian Academy's founding vision. Her Doctorate in Christian Education and Biblical Studies equips her with both academic expertise and a deep understanding of faith-based instruction, leadership development, and holistic education.
A graduate of Partners to the Promise Christian College, Dr. Fuller was honored with the President's Award in 2022 — a distinction that reflects her exceptional commitment to academic excellence, leadership, and service to the broader educational community.
Having journeyed through the educational system and witnessed its shortcomings firsthand, Dr. Fuller channeled her frustration into purpose — building an institution that would give adults the second chance the traditional system denied them. Her leadership is defined by compassion, rigor, and an unwavering belief that every adult learner carries untapped potential waiting to be developed.
Dr. Corey A. Young brings spiritual authority, theological depth, and a strong foundation in leadership, mentorship, and community transformation to Redemption Christian Academy. His Doctorate of Divinity anchors RCA's faith formation in biblical truth and pastoral wisdom.
A graduate of Partners to the Promise Christian College, Dr. Young graduated With Honors in 2024 — a recognition of his academic dedication, spiritual integrity, and exceptional contributions to his field of study.
Dr. Young's vision for RCA extends beyond the classroom — he sees every learner as an individual with God-given purpose, and every educational interaction as an opportunity to call that purpose forward. Together with Dr. Fuller, Dr. Young ensures that RCA's academic programs are never divorced from spiritual formation and character development.
Mission, Vision & Purpose
These are not statements we hang on a wall. They are the convictions that shape every course, every policy, and every interaction with every learner.
To provide adult learners with competency-based, faith-integrated education that equips them academically, empowers them professionally, and transforms them personally — so they can impact their families, communities, and world.
To become the leading faith-based adult education institution in the region — known for second chances, academic excellence, and producing graduates who lead with integrity and serve with purpose in every sphere of society.
We exist to ensure that opportunity is no longer limited by past circumstances — but expanded through intentional, faith-rooted, and empowering education that sees every adult as worthy, capable, and full of unrealized potential.
Core Values
These six values are the non-negotiable foundation of everything RCA does — from curriculum design to student support to institutional governance.
We believe every person has the capacity for transformation. No past circumstance, failure, or setback is the final word. RCA exists as a place of genuine second chances.
We hold ourselves and our learners to a high standard — academically, professionally, and spiritually. Excellence is not perfectionism; it is giving your full effort in pursuit of your full potential.
We operate with transparency, honesty, and consistency in everything we do. Our learners can trust that what we promise is what we deliver — always.
Biblical truth is not an add-on at RCA — it is the lens through which all learning is understood. We believe knowledge without wisdom and character is incomplete education.
Education is not a solitary journey. We are committed to building a learning community where every student feels known, supported, and connected to something larger than themselves.
We do not simply give learners information — we develop their capacity to think critically, lead confidently, and act purposefully in every area of their lives.
Our Faith Foundation
Redemption Christian Academy is a faith-based institution in the fullest sense. Biblical worldview is not a single course or a module — it is woven through every domain of study, every assessment, and every interaction between learners and instructors.
We believe that true education addresses the whole person — mind, character, and spirit. Our curriculum is designed around four integration strands that ensure faith is always connected to learning, not separated from it.
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters."Colossians 3:23
"Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it."Proverbs 22:6
"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind."Romans 12:2
