Terms of Enrollment

Conditions governing enrollment at RCA

Eligibility

Enrollment is open exclusively to adults 18 years of age or older. By enrolling, the student confirms they meet this age requirement and agrees to provide valid government-issued identification confirming their date of birth.

Enrollment Agreement

All enrolled students must sign an Enrollment Agreement prior to beginning coursework. The Enrollment Agreement constitutes a binding contract between the student and RCA and includes: program description, tuition and fees, refund policy, academic requirements, and institutional disclosures.

Academic Requirements

Students must achieve a minimum score of 75% on all summative assessments to be awarded competency for a course. Students may reattempt assessments up to two times before an academic advisor review is required. Consistent non-engagement or academic dishonesty may result in dismissal without refund.

Code of Conduct

All enrolled students agree to conduct themselves with integrity, respect, and professionalism in all interactions — with instructors, advisors, staff, and fellow learners. Behavior that is abusive, harassing, discriminatory, or dishonest may result in immediate dismissal.

Credential Conferral

Credentials are conferred upon successful completion of all required competency domains, assessments, and the capstone project (for diploma candidates). RCA reserves the right to withhold credentials in cases of outstanding tuition balances or unresolved academic integrity violations.

Modifications to Programs

RCA reserves the right to modify program content, course structure, and tuition in accordance with institutional review. Enrolled students will be notified of material changes that affect their program requirements.

Grievance & Appeals Policy

How to raise concerns, file complaints, or appeal decisions

Purpose

RCA is committed to addressing student concerns promptly, fairly, and professionally. This policy establishes a formal process for students to raise grievances, file complaints, and appeal academic or administrative decisions.

Step 1 — Informal Resolution

Students are encouraged to first attempt to resolve concerns directly with the relevant instructor or advisor. Many issues can be resolved quickly through open communication. Students may contact their academic advisor at any time to discuss a concern.

Step 2 — Formal Written Complaint

If informal resolution is not achieved, the student may submit a formal written complaint to info@rcacharlotte.org. The complaint must include: the student's full name and enrollment ID, a clear description of the concern or grievance, the date(s) the issue occurred, any supporting documentation, and the resolution being requested.

Step 3 — RCA Review

RCA's Academic Affairs team will acknowledge receipt of the formal complaint within 5 business days and complete a review within 20 business days. The student will receive a written response with RCA's finding and any action taken.

Step 4 — Appeal

If the student is not satisfied with RCA's response, they may submit a written appeal to the Director of Adult Education within 30 days of receiving RCA's response. The appeal must state specific grounds for disagreement with the finding. A final determination will be issued within 15 business days.

External Complaints

Students who believe their complaint has not been adequately addressed may contact the Transworld Accrediting Commission International regarding accreditation-related concerns.

No Retaliation: RCA prohibits retaliation against any student who files a good-faith grievance or complaint. Any retaliation should be immediately reported to the Director of Adult Education.

Accessibility & Accommodation Policy

RCA's commitment to accessible education for all learners

Our Commitment

Redemption Christian Academy is committed to providing an accessible, inclusive educational experience for all adult learners, including those with disabilities or special learning needs. We believe that no learner should be excluded from the opportunity to earn a credential because of a disability or barrier to learning.

Requesting an Accommodation

Students who require an accommodation due to a disability or learning difference are encouraged to disclose this need during the enrollment process or at any point during their program. To request an accommodation, contact your academic advisor or email info@rcacharlotte.org with the subject line "Accommodation Request."

Types of Accommodations Available

  • Extended time on assessments
  • Alternative assessment formats
  • Modified assignment submission formats
  • Additional academic advisor check-ins and support
  • Adjusted pace of progression through program modules

Documentation

While documentation of a disability is not always required, RCA may request documentation from a qualified professional to determine appropriate accommodations for complex situations. All documentation is kept confidential.

Online Accessibility

RCA is committed to ensuring our online learning platform and course materials are as accessible as possible. We strive to follow Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) principles in our digital content. If you encounter an accessibility barrier in our online materials, please report it to your advisor immediately.

Grievances Related to Accessibility

Students who believe an accommodation request has been improperly denied or handled may file a grievance through RCA's formal grievance process outlined in the Grievance Policy above.

Academic Integrity Policy

RCA's standards for honesty and integrity in all academic work

Our Standard

Redemption Christian Academy holds academic integrity as a core institutional value. Every learner is expected to complete all coursework, assessments, and projects with full honesty and without unauthorized assistance. Integrity in scholarship is an expression of our faith commitment to truth.

Prohibited Conduct

The following constitute academic integrity violations:

  • Plagiarism — submitting another person's work as your own without proper attribution
  • Cheating — using unauthorized materials, aids, or assistance during assessments
  • Fabrication — inventing or falsifying information, data, or citations
  • Impersonation — having another person complete work or assessments on your behalf
  • Collusion — unauthorized collaboration on individually assigned work

Consequences

Violations of this policy may result in: a grade of zero on the affected assessment, required reassessment without credit, suspension from the program, or permanent dismissal from RCA without refund. The severity of the consequence is determined by the nature and extent of the violation.

Appeals

Students who believe an academic integrity finding was made in error may appeal through RCA's formal grievance and appeals process within 30 days of the finding.

Non-Discrimination Policy

RCA's commitment to equal access and inclusive community

Policy Statement

Redemption Christian Academy does not discriminate in its admissions, educational programs, services, or employment practices on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.

Scope

This policy applies to all aspects of RCA's operations including: student admissions and enrollment, academic programs and course delivery, student support services, grading and assessment, credential conferral, and interactions between students, faculty, and staff.

Faith-Based Nature

As a faith-based institution, RCA integrates a biblical worldview throughout its curriculum and operations. This integration does not constitute discrimination and is consistent with RCA's identity as a private religious institution. Enrollment is open to all adults 18 and older regardless of religious background, provided they are willing to engage with faith-integrated academic content.

Reporting Discrimination
