Questions We Hear Most Often

The RCA Adult Education Completion Diploma is an institutional credential awarded by Redemption Christian Academy upon demonstrated competency completion. It is not a state-issued high school diploma. RCA is a private adult education institution — not a K–12 school — and our credential reflects adult-level academic mastery. We encourage prospective learners to verify with specific employers or institutions whether the RCA credential meets their particular requirements.
RCA is open to any adult who is 18 years of age or older. We do not require prior educational records, test scores, or a minimum level of prior education. Our programs are designed for adults at all stages — whether you never completed your education, are re-entering school after years away, or simply want to develop new skills and earn a recognized credential.
Because our program is fully self-paced and competency-based, completion time varies by learner. Students who dedicate consistent time each week typically complete the diploma program within 12–18 months. Learners who are able to move faster through material they already know may complete sooner. There is no deadline — you move at the pace your life allows.
Yes. Redemption Christian Academy is accredited by the Transworld Accrediting Commission International (TAC). Accreditation confirms that RCA meets established standards for institutional quality, curriculum integrity, and student services. Our accreditation is a mark of credibility and our commitment to providing a legitimate, high-quality educational experience.
Absolutely. All of our Workforce Readiness Certificate programs and the Faith, Leadership & Professional Development certificate can be completed as standalone programs — no diploma enrollment required. You can also take individual Continuing Education courses without enrolling in any full program. Our programs are designed to be flexible and stackable based on your goals.
Competency-based means you advance through the program by demonstrating mastery of the material — not by sitting in class for a required number of hours. If you already have strong knowledge in a subject area, you may move through it quickly. Where you need more time, you take it. This model is especially well-suited for adult learners with existing knowledge, skills, and life experience.
Our courses are accessible from any device with internet access — including smartphones and tablets. A computer or laptop is recommended for completing written assignments and projects, but many learners complete coursework primarily on their phones. If technology access is a concern, speak with your enrollment advisor and we will do our best to help you find a workable solution.
No. There is no application fee to apply to any RCA program. You will only be asked to make a payment after you have spoken with an advisor, reviewed all program details and tuition information, and made an informed decision to enroll. We believe you should have all the information you need before committing financially.
RCA offers a tiered refund policy: 100% refund before course start; 75% within the first 7 days; 50% within days 8–14; 25% within days 15–30; no refund after 30 days. Full details are included in your enrollment agreement, which you will review and sign before making any payment. Contact us directly if you have specific questions about the refund policy.
RCA is an accredited private institution and our credentials represent a legitimate standard of academic achievement. Acceptance of any credential is ultimately determined by individual employers, licensing bodies, or institutions. We strongly encourage prospective learners to verify with any specific employer or organization whether the RCA credential meets their requirements prior to enrollment. Our admissions advisors are happy to discuss this with you in detail.
No. RCA is a faith-based institution and our curriculum integrates a biblical worldview throughout all programs. However, there is no requirement that students hold a specific faith background to enroll. We welcome all adult learners who are open to engaging with faith-integrated content as part of their educational experience. Our programs are built on values of respect, integrity, and community for all learners.
We encourage you to reach out directly to our admissions team. You can call us at (984) 221-8387, email us at info@rcacharlotte.org, or submit a general inquiry through our Contact page. There is no pressure and no obligation — we simply want to make sure you have everything you need to make a confident, informed decision.
