RCA was founded by Dr. Felecia L. Fuller and Dr. Corey A. Young — both graduates of Partners to the Promise Christian College. RCA was born out of conviction, not convenience. After witnessing firsthand the gaps and missed opportunities within the traditional education system, they made a decision to become part of the solution — building an institution dedicated to giving adults the second chance the traditional system never gave them.
Yes. Redemption Christian Academy operates as a nonprofit faith-based educational institution. Our mission is not profit — it is transformation. Donations to RCA may be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
Admissions Questions

Any adult 18 years of age or older is eligible to apply to RCA. We do not require prior educational records, transcripts, test scores, or letters of recommendation. We welcome adults at all educational levels and backgrounds.
No. There is absolutely no application fee to apply to any RCA program. You will only be asked to make a payment after you have spoken with an advisor, reviewed all program details and tuition information, and made an informed decision to enroll.

Prior transcripts are not required.

Program Questions
About our curriculum, credentials, and how programs work
No. The RCA Adult Education Completion Diploma is an institutional credential awarded by Redemption Christian Academy. It is not a state-issued high school diploma. RCA is a private adult education institution — not a K–12 school. We encourage prospective learners to verify with specific employers or institutions whether the RCA credential meets their requirements prior to enrollment.
Competency-based means you advance by demonstrating mastery of the material — not by completing a fixed number of hours. If you already have knowledge in a subject area, you may move through it quickly. Where you need more time, you take it. This model is especially well-suited for adult learners with existing experience and knowledge.
The Adult Education Completion Diploma typically takes 12–18 months for learners who dedicate consistent time each week. Workforce certificate programs can generally be completed in 3–6 months. Continuing Education courses are shorter standalone modules. Because all programs are self-paced, completion time varies by learner.
Absolutely. All Workforce Readiness Certificate programs and the Faith, Leadership & Professional Development certificate can be completed as fully standalone programs with no diploma enrollment required. You can also take individual Continuing Education courses without committing to any full program.
The six core competency domains are: (1) English Language Arts & Communication, (2) Mathematics & Quantitative Reasoning, (3) Science & Scientific Inquiry, (4) Social Studies, History & Civics, (5) Technology & Digital Literacy, and (6) Biblical Worldview, Ethics & Christian Living. Completion of all six domains plus a capstone project is required for the diploma.
RCA is an accredited private institution and our credentials represent a legitimate standard of academic achievement. However, acceptance of any credential is ultimately determined by individual employers, licensing bodies, or institutions. We strongly encourage prospective learners to verify with any specific employer or organization whether the RCA credential meets their requirements prior to enrollment.
Financial Questions
Tuition, payment plans, refunds, and financial assistance
The Adult Education Completion Diploma is $500 for the complete program — one flat rate covering all 6 domains, all 27 courses, and your capstone project. There are no per-course charges, no hidden fees, and no application fee. Certificate and continuing education program pricing varies — contact us directly for a full breakdown on any specific certificate track.
Yes. For the diploma program, the $500 tuition can be split into installment payments rather than paid all at once. Your enrollment advisor will work with you to set up a payment arrangement that fits your financial situation. We believe no adult should be turned away simply because they cannot pay in full upfront.
Yes. RCA offers scholarship assistance for qualifying learners who demonstrate financial need. Scholarship awards vary based on availability and individual circumstances. To inquire about scholarship eligibility, speak with your enrollment advisor after submitting your application. Scholarship funding is made possible through the generosity of RCA's donors and supporters.
RCA does not currently participate in federal financial aid programs (FAFSA) or Title IV funding. RCA is a private institution and our accreditation through TAC is not a federally recognized accreditor for Title IV purposes. We encourage learners to explore private scholarships, employer tuition assistance, and community funding sources. Speak with your advisor about all available options.
RCA's refund schedule: Before course start — 100% refund. Days 1–7 — 75% refund. Days 8–14 — 50% refund. Days 15–30 — 25% refund. After 30 days — no refund. All refund terms are clearly stated in the enrollment agreement, which you review before making any payment commitment.
RCA operates as a nonprofit institution. Gifts to RCA may be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Donors are encouraged to consult a tax advisor regarding the deductibility of their specific contribution.
Faith & Community Questions
About our faith integration, values, and community approach
No. There is no faith requirement to enroll at RCA. We are a faith-based institution and our curriculum integrates a biblical worldview throughout all programs. However, we welcome all adult learners who are open to engaging with faith-integrated content as part of their educational experience. Our programs are built on values of respect, integrity, and community for every learner.
Faith is not siloed into one course — it runs through all six academic domains via four integration strands: Creation & Stewardship, Truth & Integrity, Service & Vocation, and Redemption & Transformation. Additionally, Domain 6 (Biblical Worldview, Ethics & Christian Living) is a dedicated faith formation domain required for diploma completion.
Yes — and we actively encourage it. RCA partners with local churches and faith communities to bring adult education directly to their congregations. Partnership models include congregation education access, community outreach programs, and ministry staff credentialing. Visit our Community page or submit a partnership inquiry to learn more.
RCA is a non-denominational, interdenominational faith-based institution. We are rooted in biblical Christianity and welcome learners and partners from across the Christian tradition. Our faith foundation is grounded in Scripture rather than any specific denominational doctrine.
Accreditation Questions
About TAC accreditation, credential legitimacy, and compliance
Yes. Redemption Christian Academy holds active institutional accreditation from the Transworld Accrediting Commission International (TAC). TAC evaluates institutions across curriculum quality, governance, student services, faculty qualifications, and institutional disclosures. RCA's accreditation is maintained through ongoing compliance with TAC standards.
TAC is a recognized accrediting body for private educational institutions. It is not a federally recognized accreditor under the U.S. Department of Education, which means RCA is not eligible to participate in federal financial aid programs. RCA's accreditation signifies institutional quality and commitment to educational standards as a private, faith-based adult education provider.
RCA awards Competency Units (CUs), which are institutional measures — not semester credit hours. Transfer of any credit or recognition of RCA credentials is at the sole discretion of the receiving institution. We encourage learners to contact any college or university directly to ask about their policies before enrolling with transfer as a goal.
As a private adult education institution serving only adults 18 and older, RCA does not fall under the jurisdiction of the North Carolina Division of Non-Public Education (DNPE), which governs K–12 institutions. RCA is not a degree-granting institution and is not affiliated with or regulated by the University of North Carolina System or the NC Community College System.
Technical & Delivery Questions
About online learning, technology, and accessing your courses
You need a reliable internet connection and a device capable of browsing the internet — computer, tablet, or smartphone. A computer or laptop is recommended for completing written assignments and projects. A valid email address is required for LMS access. No special software purchases are required.
Yes. RCA courses are accessible from any device with internet access, including smartphones and tablets. Many learners complete the majority of their coursework on their phones. For longer written assignments, a computer is recommended for ease of use.
LMS stands for Learning Management System — it is the online platform where all your courses, assignments, assessments, and instructor communication take place. Once your enrollment is confirmed, you receive login credentials and orientation materials via email within 24 hours. Your advisor will help you get oriented during your onboarding call.
All RCA programs are fully self-paced. There are no fixed class schedules, no live sessions you must attend, and no hard deadlines for individual assignments. You work at the pace that fits your life. Your academic advisor will work with you to set personal progress goals and keep you on track toward completion.
